Volkswagen opens the pre-order books for the entry-level ID. Polo with a 37 kWh battery

Volkswagen has opened pre‑sales for the newest addition to its electric urban lineup: the ID. Polo equipped with a 37‑kWh battery. Designed as an affordable entry point into electric mobility, the new variant offers a WLTP range of up to 334 km and is optimized for daily commuting and city driving.

The 37‑kWh model arrives just weeks after the launch of the 52‑kWh ID. Polo and is aimed at price‑conscious customers seeking lower operating costs and fast‑charging capability. Volkswagen highlights that the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 23 minutes at DC fast‑charging stations with up to 90 kW, making it practical for everyday use.

Two output levels are available: 85 kW (116 PS) and 99 kW (135 PS). Despite its entry‑level positioning, the ID. Polo maintains a high‑quality interior with large digital displays, intuitive controls, and generous luggage space. The Trend trim starts at €24,995 in Germany, while the Life and Style trims begin at €29,195, each offering additional comfort and technology features.

Volkswagen reports strong early interest in the ID. Polo family, with more than 70,000 orders placed within weeks of its introduction – including 25,000 orders for the ID. Polo alone. The new 37 kWh variant is expected to broaden the model’s appeal further by lowering the cost of entry into the brand’s “Electric Urban Car Family.”
