Tesla’s Cybertruck has made plenty of headlines since the first customer deliveries began in November, 2023. To date, all official customer deliveries have been for US customers, but that’s now changed.

The leading electric car maker has commenced inviting customers in Canada and Mexico to start configuring their Cybertrucks. It was first shared by Tesla enthusiast, Sawyer Merritt on X.

Soon after that, according to Drive Tesla Canada, Tesla sent an email to customers detailing the pricing of the Foundation Series Cybertrucks in Canada in two variants.

The dual-motor AWD foundation series Cybertruck starts at $C137,990 or just under $A153,000. Meanwhile, the tri-motor foundation Series Cyberbeast starts at $C165,990 before on-road costs including luxury tax in parts of the country.

With taxes, the Cybertruck price in the country could get close to $C200,000 by the time customers of the Cyberbeast variants receive their orders.

On the back of this news, enthusiasts of the utilitarian vehicle were excited to see the Cybertruck available in markets other than the US. One said: “Can’t wait to see these rolling around Canada!!!”

Another Australian fan of the Cybertruck also was thrilled by this and said: “No wayyyy! What about those from Australia? Can’t be long now!”

The latest reports also indicate that the first foundation series Cybertruck customer deliveries are expected to happen by November, a year after first deliveries in the US.

Previously in April, the company’s US configurator hinted that the Cybertruck had sold out for 2024 but it appears the demand in the US may have reduced since then.

The foundation series Cybertruck is a limited edition variant. According to the Tesla Cybertruck website page, for the extra price paid over a standard version, the foundation series includes:

  • Laser-etched Foundation Series badges and cabin graphics
  • Off-Road Light Bar (Cyberbeast only)
  • Powershare Home Backup capability
  • Powershare Mobile Connector
  • Powershare Hardware Tesla Shop voucher
  • Full Self-Driving capability
  • 3D All-Weather Interior Liners
  • Gear Locker Dividers
  • Glass Roof Sunshade
  • D-Rings
  • L-Track Hooks
  • L-Track Bottle Opener
  • Center Console Tray

No other markets have been announced but for those expecting to see it locally, the Cybertruck is currently on an Australian roadshow and is currently in Hobart Tasmania where the company has just opened a new showroom.

Tesla also plans to offer sales, service and delivery from this facility which is located at 402 Brooker Highway Derwent Park, Tasmania.
