Talga begins commercial Talnode-C anode sales to Nyobolt in battery milestone

Talga Group Ltd (ASX:TLG, OTCQX:TLGRF, FRA:TGX) has begun commercial deliveries of its flagship battery graphite anode product Talnode®-C to Nyobolt under a binding offtake agreement, marking a key step from qualification volumes to ongoing sales revenue.

The first shipment, priced at the contracted commercial rate, has been delivered from Talga’s EVA demonstration plant in Luleå, Sweden, following successful final customer qualification and audits. The balance of the 3,000-tonne offtake is expected to be supplied from Talga’s planned commercial-scale anode plant in the same region, with construction targeted to begin in 2027 subject to final investment decision.

Commercial sales begin after customer qualification

The milestone strengthens Talga’s position in the European battery supply chain, with Talnode®-C now moving into commercial supply for Nyobolt’s ultra-fast-charging battery systems.

Nyobolt recently completed a Series C capital raise at a US$1 billion valuation and has qualified Talnode®-C as a feedstock for its battery anode technology. The technology has been demonstrated in vehicles capable of charging in less than five minutes, which Talga says is roughly twice the speed of the fastest-charging production vehicles today.

Nyobolt’s customers and partners include Scania, a strategic investor supporting deployment in heavy-duty commercial vehicles, trucks and mining equipment, and Symbotic, which develops AI-enabled autonomous warehouse robots.

Vittangi Anode Project momentum

The initial commercial delivery also supports Talga’s broader mine-to-anode strategy in northern Sweden.

Demand for Talnode®-C is accelerating across high-performance and high-power battery applications beyond passenger electric vehicles, including drones, hybrid and heavy-duty vehicles, defence hardware, autonomous vehicles, robotics and AI data centre power solutions.

Talnode®-C is positioned for these markets through low internal resistance, ultra-high crystallinity, rapid charging capability, long cycle life and secure FEOC-free European production.

Further offtakes in discussion

Alongside the Nyobolt agreement, Talga is in advanced negotiations with additional offtake parties, with new customers progressing through final qualification and onboarding.

These potential customers include leading international battery manufacturers across Europe, Japan and North America, with engagement also increasing among trading houses, government bodies and funding institutions. Talga expects this momentum to support financing and construction of the Vittangi Anode Project.
