Genesis has taken a decisive step into the next era of electrified luxury, unveiling the GV90 – its first full‑size flagship SUV – at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. Presented in both GV90 and GV90 Neolun variants, the model translates the 2024 NEOLUN concept into a production reality, merging advanced engineering, Korean design philosophy, and a hospitality‑driven user experience.
At the heart of the GV90 Neolun is its most dramatic innovation: the Neolun Arch Gate. This world‑first hidden B‑pillar coach door system allows the front and rear doors to open independently yet harmoniously, creating an expansive entryway that embodies Genesis’ “Son‑nim” ethos of treating every occupant as an honored guest. A newly engineered dual‑motion hinge and reinforced hidden roll‑cage structure ensure that this architectural flourish meets the highest safety standards.
Furthermore, the G90 introduces the world’s first Roof Airbag, designed to protect occupants during severe rollovers by covering the entire glass roof. In total, twelve airbags – including dual‑depth front airbags, extended curtain airbags for all three rows, and seat‑integrated anti‑submarining airbags – work alongside an in‑cabin monitoring system to optimize protection based on posture and seating position. A new aluminum frame, ultra‑high‑strength steel reinforcements, and advanced battery protection systems further elevate crash performance.
Built on the dedicated eMP platform, the Genesis GV90 delivers serene flagship dynamics. A 123.5‑kWh high‑voltage battery – the largest ever fitted to a Hyundai Motor Group EV – enables an estimated 500 km of range, while 350 kW fast charging replenishes 10% to 80% in just 22 minutes. Dual high‑output motors produce a combined 490 kW and 800 Nm of torque, supported by Dual E‑LSD for precise power distribution. Multi‑chamber air suspension, active rear‑wheel steering, and a high‑capacity braking system complete the vehicle’s refined driving character.
Inside, the GV90 transforms into a curated living space. A pop‑up OLED Cinematic Display expands to 24.6 inches when parked, while a 25‑inch head‑up display replaces the traditional instrument cluster. Pleos Connect – Hyundai Motor Group’s next‑generation infotainment platform – runs on Android Automotive OS and integrates Gleo AI for natural, conversational control. Motorized swiveling front seats enable a lounge‑like face‑to‑face configuration, and Remote Smart Parking Assist 3 adds effortless parking capability.
Sensory immersion is central to the cabin experience. A Bang & Olufsen Premier 3D sound system with 25 speakers delivers Dolby Atmos audio, while Ambient Glow lighting creates a gallery‑like atmosphere. Premium leather massage seats with 15 air cells, radiant heating elements, and a metal‑coated heated windshield elevate comfort. In the Neolun Executive Suite, a four‑seat configuration introduces a real wood veneer floor with ondol‑inspired heating, a Smart Vision Roof with six independently controlled zones, and VIP amenities including a refrigerator and integrated tables.
The exterior design draws inspiration from the Korean moon jar, emphasizing purity, proportion, and restrained elegance. A clamshell hood, Wing Face Micro Lens Array headlamps, sculpted fenders, and 24‑inch forged wheels establish a commanding presence. The rear design embraces minimalism, eliminating the spoiler and decorative lines to achieve a smooth, uninterrupted form. Sixteen exterior colors – including Seychelles Beige, Baena Green, and three matte finishes – offer extensive personalization.
Genesis also introduced the GV90 Neolun First Edition, a limited release featuring exclusive two‑tone colorways, body‑color forged wheels, wool‑cashmere garnishes, and bespoke engravings on the Crystal Sphere Controller and headrests.

Genesis is embarking on a bold new chapter in its journey, positioning “Luxury High Performance” as the cornerstone of its evolution over the next decade.
