Port Has continued to lead in industrial and business drives. Now, Bobtrack group which has Bobtrack Tractor Limited has unveiled a range of electric vehicles and a super tractor.

The unveiling was done at the prestigious Presidential Hotel in Port Harcourt Monday evening.

Ibifiri Bobmanuel, Bobtract group CEO, who led the unveiling, said they were ready to meet market demand. He showed the advantages the EVs have over fuel system.

Most importantly, he said, “We’re here to unveil our new 160 hp Bobtrack, Bobhorse tractor series. Now, we’ve done the same thing in Abuja up north. The 160 hp gives you the opportunity to express yourself the most in your farm in country. We do a lot of farming in Nigeria, but the actual act of agriculture, we’ve not been able to scratch the surface.”

So when you hop into the 160 hp, it gives you a feel of what agriculture truly is or truly should be in our climate.

“Then the big one here is the iBOSS. The iBOSS is a passenger, all-electric passenger bus by Bobtrack Nigeria Limited. So, we’re here to unveil it in Port Harcourt, and we’ll do the same thing across the country. We’ll do it in Lagos, and we’ll do it in Abuja.

“And we’re in partnership with TajBank. TajBank is the leading non-interest bank in the country today with lots of ethics and morality within their mix.

So, TajBank gives you an opportunity to make a down payment of as much as 20% and you could actually go home with the vehicle for them to support the rest of it.

That’s why you have a large contingent of TajBank with the regional manager and the regional head and their key functionaries here with us.”

In an interview, Bobmanuel said Nigeria is yet to scratch their agric journey to drive growth in the country’s agri-value chain.

“Because the potential we have in Nigeria is huge. If you look at the indices, you would agree with me that we still need to do more. But the kind of equipment we are producing now in Nigeria in our facilities, gives us the opportunity to be able to move the needle forward, especially with this funding blend we have now with TajBank. Our farmers are going to experience a new lease of life because they will have the needed equipment to have those bumper harvests.”

He warned that agriculture has really moved on globally but that Africa seemed to be playing catch-up. Now, those self-driving facilities simply do not need you to be inside of the tractor to actually be able to run the tractors.

“The full range is self-driven. So you need to program it using GPS to be able to get it to work for you on your farm.”

Speaking, Raphael Onah, the South-South, South East manager, said their focus has always been how to impact the real economy. He said the bank acquires assets and gives out to clients who manage them and pay back over years.
