Tetracore Energy Group, through its subsidiary Tetracore CNG Solutions Limited, has inaugurated a 60,000 Standard Cubic Metres per Day Auto Compressed Natural Gas facility in Ogun State.
The inauguration ceremony, which assembled traditional rulers, community leaders, industry partners and other stakeholders, signalled a major investment in clean energy infrastructure along the busy Lagos–Ibadan industrial corridor.

Strategically located to serve transporters, logistics operators, manufacturers and businesses within Ogun State and adjoining regions, the facility is expected to boost access to compressed natural gas as a reliable alternative to conventional fuels.
With an installed capacity of 60,000 SCMD, the plant can fuel more than 100 vehicles daily, easing supply constraints for buses, trucks and other commercial CNG-powered vehicles. Operators say this will not only reduce fuel costs but also support national emission reduction goals.
Speaking at the event, the Managing Director of Tetracore Energy Group, Dayo Williams, described the project as both an infrastructure milestone and a community investment.
He said, “The inauguration of this auto CNG facility represents our unwavering commitment to delivering practical energy solutions that power businesses, lower transportation costs, and strengthen Nigeria’s energy security.
“This is not just a fuelling station; it is critical infrastructure that supports cleaner mobility, industrial productivity and long-term economic growth. At Tetracore Energy Group, we are proud to be playing a leading role in driving the nation’s transition to sustainable energy.”
He added that for residents of the host community in Ogere, Ogun State, the project is more than pipes and compressors. It is about jobs, opportunity and recognition.
The Ologere of Ogere, Oba James Saliu, welcomed the development, describing it as a turning point for the community.
He said, “This project brings development, employment and opportunity to our people. We are pleased that Tetracore Energy Group has chosen Ogere as the home of this important clean energy initiative, and we look forward to the lasting benefits it will bring to our community.”
An elder in the community, Anthony Oyegunle, a respected community leader, echoed the sentiment, stressing the economic ripple effects.
“Beyond providing energy, this facility creates real opportunities for our youth and small businesses. It will generate jobs, stimulate commerce and contribute to the overall growth of Ogere. We are proud to partner with an organisation that prioritises both development and community welfare,” he stressed.
The Ogere plant forms part of Tetracore Energy Group’s broader strategy to expand its midstream and downstream gas distribution network nationwide, including compressed natural gas, piped natural gas, liquefied natural gas and gas-to-power solutions.
Tetracore hinted that the inauguration is both a celebration and a statement of intent, a commitment to powering progress, strengthening energy security and building a cleaner, more sustainable future for Nigeria.
