Terawatt and Velocity Vehicle Group (VVG) have announced a partnership aimed at supporting heavy-duty electric vehicle fleet operators across North America by integrating high-speed charging infrastructure with commercial vehicle service and maintenance networks.
The collaboration will initially focus on Southern California, one of the region’s largest freight hubs and a key area for electric truck adoption. The companies said the partnership will combine Terawatt’s large-scale charging facilities with VVG’s commercial vehicle dealership and service network.
Terawatt operates dedicated pull-through charging centres designed for heavy-duty trucks, with megawatt-scale charging capacity intended to reduce downtime for commercial fleets. One of the company’s newest charging locations is located in California’s Inland Empire logistics corridor.
Velocity Vehicle Group supports fleet operators through a network of dealerships and maintenance centres across the United States, Canada, Australia and Mexico. The company said its facilities include EV-certified technicians and specialized infrastructure to service electric commercial vehicles.
Terawatt Chief Executive Officer Neha Palmer said the partnership addresses infrastructure reliability, which is a key factor in large-scale fleet electrification.

“For heavy-duty fleet electrification to succeed, the infrastructure must be as dynamic and dependable as the internal combustion engine network it replaces,” Palmer said. “Our network is engineered for high utilisation and speed, using a pull-through design that allows drivers to keep moving without complex manoeuvring.”
Chris Abarca, director of sales at Velocity Vehicle Group, said the partnership also strengthens operational support for fleet operators transitioning to electric vehicles.
“Velocity Vehicle Group’s footprint—especially the robust maintenance coverage we provide throughout Southern California—is the safety net for our customers’ EV investments,” Abarca said. “Together, the Terawatt and VVG networks allows us to tell customers, ‘We’ve got the power, and we’ve got the parts and EV-certified service technicians to keep you moving.’”

The companies said the partnership aims to support growing demand for electric trucks in freight and logistics operations as governments and fleet operators seek to reduce emissions in heavy-duty transport.
